What happened to the blueberries? When we bought BlueBee Farm in 2017, we knew we had found the perfect place to continue our honey bee business with raising queen bees. With the blueberry plants already here, we had decided to continue the u-pick blueberry operation while we built our honeybee operations. In fact, our bees have been very happy here. This spring they have become extremely prolific and have needed more of our attention than ever before. This combined with the current economic conditions, some staffing challenges, and the growth of our honey bee business, our choice was clear. Starting with the spring of 2020, we are focused on raising high quality honey bees and raising honey bee queens for individual bee keepers as well as commercial beekeeping operations.
Can I purchase honey bees from you?
Not yet. We are currently growing our honey bee hives to support higher scale production in the future. If you are interested in honey bees, watch for future announcements as our genetic selections and breeding operations are ready for public sales.
