After much deliberation and with heavy hearts, we are announcing that we are closing the Blue Bee Farm u-pick blueberry business.

We first want to thank all of you for three wonderful years. It has truly been an honor to meet many of you and to be part of your family traditions. However, with the current economic conditions, some staffing challenges, and the growth of our honey bee business, our choice was clear.

When we bought BlueBee Farm in 2017, we knew we had found the perfect place to continue our honey bee business with raising queen bees. With the blueberry plants already here, we had decided to continue the u-pick blueberry operation while we built our honeybee operations. In fact, our bees have been very happy here. This spring they have become extremely prolific and have needed more of our attention than ever before. Because of this, we had to make the hard decision to focus on our original business, the honey bees.

The Liberty variety blueberries are still going strong. They came through the heat in great shape. We will be open for normal u-pick hours tomorrow, Thursday 8am-6pm.

Blueberry Picking Update: Blue Bee Farm will be CLOSED for RIPENING until Thursday, July 25th. Also, a BUMPER-CROP of Liberty blueberries is on it's way!

The need for extra ripening is due to lack of sunny days which slow down the ripening process. We want to make sure you find plenty of berries when you come to pick!

The great news is that the Liberty variety berries are coming in for a BUMPER-CROP this year! We can't believe how heavy the bushes are getting. As a part of the timing, we decided to allow the Liberty and Legacy varieties to ripen so we will have bushes full of ripe berries when we reopen for picking in a week. Watch facebook or our website for updates on weather changes.

See you again starting July 25th! At that time, we will resume our normal summer hours of Thursday through Sunday, 8am to 6pm. ​

Blueberry Picking Update: The Blue Golds and Hardy Blues are looking great as they are just reaching their peak. The extra ripening days really turned them deep blue! We still have some good Reka variety picking as well. We also have the mid-summer raspberries that are ready for picking.

Update: The blueberries are coming! Mark your calendars. Get the family ready. Blue Bee Farms is opening this FRIDAY, JULY 5th! Starting this summer, our normal hours will be 8am to 6pm , Thursdays through Sundays.
We have Reka variety blueberries that are busting the bushes and ready for picking. They are HUGE and sweet this year! There will be a few Hardy Blues and Blue Golds ready when we open, but they are just getting to the ripe stage. And, for you Legacy and Liberty variety lovers, they are going to be a couple of weeks yet. We also have red raspberries ready for picking starting Friday.

Thanks to everyone that supported Blue Bee Farm this season! Our family is truly grateful for the wonderful people who came out this year to pick blueberries. Many of you have become friends and 'regulars' that help to support us and our farm. We look forward to continuing next year!
